Well, if you didn’t know, it is indeed very much possible to turn your PC into a phone bug. Actually, as it turns out, using PCs to record phone conversations is much more practical, cheaper and what’s more, you can record 100s of hours of conversation in the HDD!



Even if you are an electronics novice, you can do it.



All you need are:



1. A4K7 x 1 W resistor,

2. A 220 nF x 200 V capacitor,

3. Two 5 V x 1 W Zener diodes,

4. A10 K logarithm potentiometer (that will work as the volume control) and

5. A mono P2 male plug.

6. A phone transformer.





To reduce the price of the equipment, you can remove the transformer of an old modem (like from a 2400 bps one).
