Microsoft is focusing on security features of Vista, still there are some security flaws. According to Symantec, Vista new networking technology is less stable than Windows XP.
Vista also supports IPv6. The company is highlighting on the support of Vista for Peer Name Resolution Protocol, which enables dynamic name publication and resolution without the need of central server.
Microsoft has given a copy of Symantec report, based on Build 5270 of Vista. The company testers released the flaws, which were addressed in Build 5384, and Build 5472.
Symantec believes that networking stack is a complex piece of software and it takes long time to get mature.
Making a comment on report, Microsoft spokesperson said, ‘the Windows Vista is still in the Beta stage of the development. Still it takes time to make Windows Vista the best secure version of Windows’.
Why Symantec is doing this before the release of Windows Vista? The answer is that both companies Microsoft and Symantec are giving direct competition to each other.
Anyhow, we have still to wait for the final release of Microsoft Windows Vista.
