Sony has announced that the company has released a new encryption technique known as ‘CLEFIA’.

The technique is a block cipher algorithm designed to help content producers deliver advanced copy protection with their products.

This new encryption technique has been aimed at portable electronics and home entertainment products and can also be applied to music, images and videos.

The company has also claimed that this advanced technique has enough immunity against all attacks and still it has low hardware requirements.

The company has plans to show the technique at the Fast Software Encryption 2007 conference in Luxembourg.
