Mozilla, the company behind Firefox web browser has released a new version of its e-mail program named Thunderbird with added mail management features.

According to Mozilla this new version has powerful new features and proven security. The application now hosts a wide range of features that are borrowed from blogging, information retrieval and web browsers.

The best feature in this updated application is the ability to tag messages with unique descriptors. This is a common feature of many blogs and all Web 2.0 sites and services.

Thunderbird 2 also comes with an improved search function, which speeds up the search process. Another feature which makes this application rock is a new navigation mode called message history navigation, enabling users to flip back and forth through their messages.

This new application from Mozilla also comes with new features that make it easier for people to retrieve messages from webmail accounts, such as Gmail.

Like all other Mozilla application this also is developed through open-source movement.
