
Microsoft is releasing software patches for addressing seven critical security problems with its various software versions. The updates are with regards to issues affecting Office productivity software suite, Windows operating system, Exchange messaging and collaboration software and CAPICOM. The fixes comprise of patch for security hole in Windows DNS server software. The company is also issuing a number of non security but quite important updates too.
Microsoft is including the following updates:
* Two problems affecting Microsoft’s Windows operating system.
* Three issues affecting its Office productivity software suite.
* One vulnerability in its Exchange messaging and collaboration software.
* One weakness in CAPICOM, used by software developers to build cryptographic security into programs, and in BizTalk business process management and automation software.
A number of systems with a digital identifier longer than fifteen characters might have been affected as a result of workaround of the problem.
