The Redmond giant has no plans to patch the loophole in Windows Vista that allow the users to use an upgrade version of the OS even if they are not actually upgrading.
Windows Vista upgrade version is for all the users who are currently running a licensed copy of Windows XP and want to upgrade to Vista from there.
Microsoft has commented that they have no plans to disable the workaround which is handy. I mean that the company only wants to sell Vista even if they get just two-third the cost of the non-upgrade version of the OS.
