Microsoft had earlier promised that the company will create rich graphical user interfaces for Vista. Not many of the promised technologies were released, but finally the company has showed off some Vista Reader applications.

The company with it three media partners that is Associated Newspapers, Hearst and Forbes have developed a new digital reader application.

The application has been developed by Microsoft and each of the media partners has customized the application to fit their publications.

The application gives the same look and feel as a newspaper and yet maintains the great interactivity of the web.

Like newspapers the publishers will also be given space to include advertisements. However these ads will be interactive and customers can directly learn more about the advertiser on a click.

These applications are made especially for Windows Vista users but Windows XP SP2 users will also be able to use them with the .NET Framework 3.0 installed.
