Microsoft has released a new Windows Media Player plug-in for Firefox 2.0. The company also claims that this new plug-in will cater to all known issues that were associated with previous versions.
The plug-in enables Windows Media Player to work with Firefox.
This new plug-in is compatible with all 32-bit and 64-bit versions of XP SP2 and Vista OSes.
This new application is backward compatible with Windows Media Player version 6.4 and also adds support for Windows OCX scripting interfaces.
According to sources the Redmond software maker is working on another plug-in for Firefox, a web browser that is the nearest competitor of the company’s indigenous web browser named Internet Explorer.
