I found this very interesting post in Search Windows Security by Brien M Posey that gives some details about Microsoft security utility tools. I must say that I haven’t heard about all of them. So this makes be fully endorse what the post began by saying.
It aptly says;
Microsoft makes a big deal about security, but sometimes a few of the company’s security resources slip under the radar. There aren’t many, but there are a few obscure Microsoft security utilities that deserve a little more publicity.
Anyway, the list of the tools are:
1. Microsoft Office Visio 2003 Connector for the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer
2. Security Risk Assessment for Midsize Organizations
3. Cipher Security tool
4. Port Reporter
5. PortQry
6. Malicious Software Removal Tool
Check the full details here.
Thanks Brien
