Two Californians have won a much-publicized online contest that involved running Windows OS on an Apple machine! The geeks won the contest by making the Windows operating system run on Apple’s Intel-powered Macintosh computers and in the process won a handsome $13,000 in prize money and fans among users who want to use Apple hardware with Microsoft software.
The success of this attempt now gives hope to many who want to abandon their dual-computing lifestyles.
Anyway, the winners, identified by the pseudonyms ‘narf2006′ and ‘blanka’, have asked the organizers to keep their identities a secret. Why? Well, they can be accused of hacking or does it really mean that they were some guys connected with the labs in Redmond? *heh*
