India is going through a phase of entrepreneurial age. Freer economy, better infrastructure facility, developed monetary structure have encouraged indigenous educated middle-class population to meet their entrepreneurial dream. This has made way for many small and middle size enterprises. They are nicknamed SME or small and medium enterprise.
SMEs are similar to their big bros in business sense and structure. But lacks enough resource to grow fast in manifolds. Often lack of managerial information system, deprive these SMEs from valuable information flow, which is crucial to efficient management.
Today’s information technology solutions are complex and expensive. They require considerable amount of cash out-flow as maintenance cost. Moreover skilled IT technicians are scarce resource. So budding SMEs often help themselves without proper managerial information system. They just restrict themselves in part utilization of IT revolution.
But this shortcoming is looking like solved now. IBM has come up with a way out. And they name it - Autonomic Computing. This is all about easier and affordable software solution; made for those who need them most - the SMEs.
This technique is built on the same architecture that neuron motors in our central nervous system follows. Products developed under this computing system will be able to heal themselves. They will be efficient in servicing their basic maintenance needs. Such solution will help managements to concentrate more on information analysis rather on routine and basic software brushing ups. IT solutions will become easier and less costly to maintain.
Microsoft and HP also flaunt their presence in this segment. But IBM is the front-runner. And they have already come up with a development center in India. Such solution will help Indian SMEs in achieving their prosperity and they will become more efficient to their business.
