IBM is collaborating with Novell to offer Xen Virtualization Technology to their clients. The company is going to provide open source virtualization solutions based on Linux and virtualization technologies.
The company announced, this system would support Novell’s new SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 offerings. The new SUSE Linux Enterprise offerings would incorporate the open source Xen virtualization software. It helps in increment of business server utilization and reduces the management costs.
IBM is offering products and services to more than 80 per cent of heterogeneous IT sectors.
IBM is supporting Xen technology as the part of the virtualization engine portfolio based on Intel and Opteron processor and blade system. The company will support Novell’s SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 with Xen with its x86 and blade server systems immediately.
