Microsoft has left no stone unturned to prove that their latest operating system is the best in the world and also the most secure operating system ever developed by the company.
To prove that their operating system is the best the Redmond giant has even released few “Vista-only” games to lure gamers to switch to Windows Vista. These titles include Halo 2 and Shadowrun.
However this is what Microsoft thinks. Hacking group Warez has released a patch that allows you to easily run these titles on the company’s older Windows XP operating system.
However, Microsoft has still not accepted this and has stated that it is not possible to run these games on the older DirectX 9 graphics engine and has urged gamers to switch to Windows Vista.
Microsoft is facing some real tough competition from hackers, who till now have remained ahead of the company. This news has also added more fuel to the already burning fire. Earlier this month Falling Leaf Systems started this fire when they stated in a press release that Microsoft is deceiving customers by saying that both these games are “Vista-only”.
Such news will surely delay the already delayed adoption of Vista. Microsoft needs to wake up and think of some real “WoW” for Vista…!
