Some of the Gmail users have reported that all the information in their Gmail accounts including their contacts and inbox has been deleted by some malicious attacker.
One user of the most popular Email application has reported that after the deletion took place he got the following message in his inbox:
‘This is not a mistake. All your emails and contacts have been deleted on purpose. This was a malicious attack and not an error. Have a nice day. =)’
Mostly all the users have reported that the problem was in Firefox 2.0 and Mozilla has fixed it in Firefox 2.0.0.1.
Google has confirmed that they have fixed the problem and has also apologized to all the user who have reported the deleted Emails.
But with such incidents becoming more and more common all we have to think about is that are we any where near to a complete Online desktop and can we let go applications like Outlook...? What do you Say?
