Microsoft has already stated that the company is not planning to release any large service packs for Vista, but the news has not stopped people from developing there own service packs.
A HotFix.net blogger named Ethan Allen has posted a collection of individual Windows Vista hotfixes as a supposed Vista SP1.
The blogger who has posted the link has stated that his so called service pack is based in things that are likely to be contained in Windows Vista SP1.
Microsoft on the other hand has warned all users not to download any such service packs from a non-Microsoft site.
This move from Microsoft has prompted the blogger to remove the content from the site.
The main problem with Allen’s fake service pack is that they contain hotfixes for issues most users don’t experience and which haven’t been thoroughly tested. Allen on the other hand has stated that the service packs that are made by him contain patches that can be obtained from Microsoft, but still the fact remains that most users will not risk their computers by installing service packs that are not certified by Microsoft.
