After initially selling computers with Windows Vista, Dell has now started to feel the heat. The computer giant has switched back to Windows XP.

Microsoft is busy promoting its new products but still some manufactures like Dell are wondering that people will not opt for machines with Vista because of the hardware challenges that lie ahead for them. Moreover, it was also stated that customers want Dell to bring back their old Windows XP powered systems.

Till this point it was still fine for Microsoft, but the latest in the news is that Dell is now warning Business customers about the challenges that lie for them if they migrate to Vista. This is a bit odd because a company as big as Dell should have enjoyed the sales with the new operating system. Dell is right at its point, they fear that customers will not want their machines if Vista does not come out as they would have thought it to be.

However, the official word from the company is that it still recommends Vista, but we all can see Dell backing out of it. Microsoft should be happy since it passed 40 million sales of their new operating system, but most of them appear to be customers and not businesses. This means that the upgrade is not as hoped by Microsoft.

If the same trends continue with large companies then Microsoft will surely have to release the first service pack much sooner than anticipated by all.
