Although IE7 is just about to go gold, yet several users are not fully satisfied with this version of IE and think IE6 is still a much better option. The reason being that using IE7 many users cannot surf their favorite sites.

Microsoft identifies such sites as ‘problematic’ and in need to be updated, whatever the problem may be these sites can easily be accessed using the older version of IE.

To take care of such users Microsoft has developed a utility that opens an IE7 window and reports its identity as IE6 to websites. The utility named User Agent String Utility Version 2 is available for free download and the users are only required to submit to Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) checks before downloading.
