Data storage and its security has been a big problem always as a person is left with nothing if his hard disc crashes except a blank screen. The alternative to this problem was to backup this data in CD’s but what if they are lost or stolen or anything else happens to them?

BT has found a solution to this problem. BT launches an online service so broadband users can store all their “digital valuables” in a virtual deposit box. Now you can store 2 GB of your valuable data absolutely free and if you desire more u can get a storage space of 20 GB at just £4.99 a month.

The new service offers you many more advantages along with data security and permanent backup. The service allows you to access the data at any remote location.
The vault can also act as file-sharing system. With your acknowledgement or invitation any person could access the vault. The system is a step towards digital age.

This will act as a lifeline for your data. ‘The service is a commercial venture and is open to non-BT customers, s well as existing ones’ the announcement was made by Emma Sanderson, service director at BT.
