Apple is expected to launch its new Operating System in April, but according to some sources the company is expected to delay the launch so that support for Windows Vista can be incorporated in the OS.

Leopard can be delayed up to October to allow Apple to make Leopard compatible with Windows Vista through Apple’s Boot Camp.

The sources also ruled out the possibility that Apple can delay Leopard due to some technical reasons. Boot Camp is an Apple software application that assists in the installation of Windows XP on computers using Apple’s OS.

Apple also hopes that if its OS supports Windows Vista then they can have a larger share of the market. If Boot Camp supports only Windows XP then a major share of the market that wants to use Windows Vista will not go for Leopard.
