Approximately 30 European business and research institutes are working on software to struggle with aircraft hijackings.
According to German news magazine, Der Spiegel, this software will allow authorities to make control on aircraft remotely during hijack event.
The cost of project is €36 million, while the European Commission is contributing €19.5 million. This project also involves aircraft maker Airbus, electronics giant Siemens and the Technical University of Munich.
The system is designed in such a way; the computer hacker also cannot do this. If it is possible, then it would be miracle. We can only hope, this software would be used as weapon against hijacking.
